Violet grew up in the hills of rural Western Massachusetts. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Smith College in the spring of 2023, where she double majored in Film and Media Studies and the Study of Women and Gender. Within her film major, Violet specialized in Television Studies. As a sophomore in college, Violet interned for the national feminist magazine, Ms. Magazine, where she honed her written communication skills and developed an interest in journalism. She began her career working in film with a Locations Department out of Boston. She also spent a summer interning for Late Night with Seth Meyers before moving to Los Angeles after graduation.
Violet currently works for Watcher Entertainment, an independent digital media studio. At Watcher, Violet has enjoyed exploring the artistic side of television production while serving as a Production Coordinator. She has her fingers in many pies, just the way she likes it! Being at a small start-up has allowed her to explore many different aspects of film and television. She’s written copy for advertisements, story-edited, run sound, set up lighting, monitored cameras for shoots and much more.
